Matthew from Streetride UK (streetride.co.uk) hit me up recently to do a little piece for his site. It gives a little background on where we have come from and where we are looking to go. Thanks to Matthew and his crew at Streetride for the opportunity

We at USB would like to give a big thank you all the riders out there running a Molly or WCH or have a pair of USB bars or stem.
I would also like to thank all the people out there that put in time to build up the local trails or work hard on their local scene. Also to all the riders out there that bust ass at their job and with their family but still make time get in some time to ride. Weather your ride some USB product or not – you guys are the ones that make riding bikes so enjoyable.
And big thanks to all my local homies – we got a good riding year and hoping to get a few more days in before the cold and snow start up. Here’s to Angel, Butters, Frank, Mike, Alex, Hoof, PJ, and Pete. I’ve been riding with most of these guys on and off for about 15 years and it is always a great time. Still feeling the stoke after a little “locals only” get together last Sunday.
Will be posting some news and some pics this week.
All the best!

It’s been a good fall so far at the trails.
Nothing ‘epic’ by any means but just some really fun sessions with the crew. I could go on how it’s been good catching up with everyone or nice seeing the work over the corse of the year finally come together or how stuff is running well even with the rain or how stoked I was seeing everyone just ride well but it would take too long and everyone likes looking at pictures anyways…
Pics – mostly shot by Angel, some by me, and a few of Angel by Frank

Spring is about to hit and we will have stickers cranking out soon and some softgoods. Also some frames with updates. Keep on the lookout and in the meantime if you have any good winter riding pics or build going on please email them to me – thanks! Don

USB Team Rider Michel Bourgoin just sent over this vid from his crew and him riding some misty looking man-made DH trail up in Shepody, NB.
Yeah, it’s not some typical USB DJ or skatepark footy but it’s guys on bikes having fun. The riding, terrain and edit (by Sixty Siren Films) is real solid and Michel is bringing his style to it with the jeans, t-shirt and the one footed x.
Click up on that pic or here’s the link too: Shepody DH Run, edit: Sixty Siren Films

Last week the local crew at the Radiation Trails had a end of the season trail jam. I pulled in early and got a glimpse of all the hard work these guys had gotten done. I hadn’t ridden there since the spring when the Intense/ODI team came thru on the way up to the US Open (http://vimeo.com/12658830). The amount of tuning and new work they did over the summer was amazing. The place was al raked, broomed and packed up to a highly buffed level.
Mom Nature gave us a beautiful day with temps creeping into the low 50′s. Maybe not perfect but not bad considering it was November. We started at the Chocolates to get all warmed up. Once the sun was popping in our eyes we moved over to the newer zone and got our groove on running the “esses” and then the Johns and the brave souls would hit up the Bombers. The tricks weren’t that hetic or “sick” but pack plenty of style.
Local Alex was going non-stop. Every time I looked he was on his bike getting laps with his signature smooth style – he makes many runs look way easier than they actually are. Seeing him clear that new Snooki set was impressive. Frank was getting his ride on as always. Beauty X-ups on practically every set. T-Bog and Flattys mixed in as well. No one is more into trails and riding and building them than him. If you ever ride with Frank you WILL have a good time. Great riding with Mike as always. He was disecting new lines and had his timeless trail style. He has been busy with work and a new family and getting frames built but you’d think he’s been riding all the time. Bob looked like he was having a great time. He got a lot of lines figured out quickly. You would never think it was his first time there.
Always a pleasure to ride with John and Miller – they were getting thru tech trail sections even on the bigger 26ers. Joey The Truth got there a little later but figured things out quick. He was boosting things nicely. Got to see Dunny for a bit – it’s been a while but he said life has been good in PA – Dunny is awesome. Joe Sabini, another rad dad, was showing his Mike Griffin style. I love it seeing him ride especially on his home turf. Hoof was flowing everything – check him out in the vid below finishing things up on the chocs to tarzans. Butters was hitting pretty much everything – popping over the Snokis – even on the top of the hill looking down it looked BIG. Spinning 3′s out of the pit step-up where everyone else was having troubles just getting thru only makes sense with Butter. PJ – so much raw bike talent – he can dust off his bike after a year of not riding and then proceed to ride every line with bent bars and with height and style. He pulled some gap to backside transfer on the “S” that still has me scratching my head. Donny, Cory, Spangler – always good to see those guys ride and hang out. Great to meet some new trail heads as well.
Big thanks to locals – Butters, Frank, Alex, Sabini, Cory and everyone else. I’ve been riding with these guys for over 10 years and it never gets old hanging out with them at the jams.
Enough written word – heres a link to a quick vid I put together: http://vimeo.com/16810389
